Self Publishing Houses

Updated: Jun 11, 2018

Can't decide on who you want to publish your material. Check out these self publishing services.

1. Kindle Direct Publishing

Authors can take control of their book release by using Kindle Direct Publishing. After submitting, new eBooks are available for purchase within two days, making it one of the fastest turnarounds for digital publishing. Kindle Direct only publishes eBooks, so authors who want multi-platform publishing need to use additional services.

2. CreateSpace

For authors wanting to publish a paperbound book, Amazon offers CreateSpace. CreateSpace prints book on demand, creating a slightly longer wait time for readers, but providing no overhead costs to the author. Authors can purchase Member Order copies of their own book at cost to redistribute either through another vending platform or as gifts. Print options include black and white or full color.

3. ACX

ACX provides authors a way to connect with actors and producers to create audio books of their works. By connecting with other artists, authors can save on the cost of a microphone and otherrecording equipment. In addition to bringing together collaborative talents, ACX allows authors to publish audio books upon completion to Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.
